Target Information
The ARHGEF9 gene encodes a Rho-like GTPase that alternates between active and inactive states to regulate CDC42 and other genes. Mutations in this gene are associated with startle disease with epilepsy (hyperekplexia with epilepsy). Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
