- PA1-4137 detects mouse Frizzled.
- Successfully used in Western blot procedures.
- Detects a ~40 kDa protein representing mouse Fz in mouse pancreas lysate.
- Immunogen sequence is 91% conserved in rat.
Target Information
Members of the frizzled gene family encode 7-transmembrane domain proteins that act as receptors for Wnt signaling proteins.
FZD7 protein includes:
- N-terminal signal sequence
- 10 cysteine residues typical of the cysteine-rich extracellular domain
- 7 transmembrane domains
- Intracellular C-terminal tail with PDZ domain-binding motif
FZD7 gene expression may downregulate APC function and enhance beta-catenin-mediated signaling in poorly differentiated human esophageal carcinomas.
