This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal production candidates.

This antibody has specificity for Human SerpinA8/Angiotensinogen/AGT.
Target Information
The AGT gene encodes pre-angiotensinogen (angiotensinogen precursor), expressed primarily in the liver. It is cleaved by renin in response to low blood pressure to form angiotensin I, which is further converted by ACE to angiotensin II, an active enzyme that regulates blood pressure.
The protein plays a role in maintaining blood pressure and is implicated in essential hypertension and preeclampsia. Mutations in AGT are associated with susceptibility to hypertension, renal tubular dysgenesis, atrial fibrillation, and inflammatory bowel disease.
