The monoclonal antibody HIS57 recognizes an unknown antigen expressed by rat marginal zone B cells.
Marginal zone B cells are located in the spleen between the red and white pulp and act as a first line of defense against blood-borne antigens in a T cell-independent manner.
These cells can be phenotyped as IgM high, IgD low, CD21 high, and CD23 low.
Applications Reported:
HIS57 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections.
Applications Tested:
Validated in frozen rat tissue for immunohistochemistry at ≤5 µg/mL. Optimal dilution should be determined experimentally.
