Thymidylate Synthase (TS)는 deoxyuridine monophosphate (dUMP)를 deoxythymidine monophosphate (dTMP)로 전환시켜 DNA 생합성에 필수적인 효소입니다.
TS는 항암제 그룹인 fluoropyrimidines의 주요 표적이며, 이들은 종양세포 내에서 FdUMP로 전환되어 TS를 불활성화시킵니다.
