Target Information
Thymidylate Synthase (TS)는 deoxyuridine monophosphate (dUMP)를 deoxythymidine monophosphate (dTMP)로 전환시켜 DNA 생합성에 필수적인 효소입니다.
TS는 항암제 그룹인 fluoropyrimidines의 주요 표적이며, 이들은 종양세포 내에서 FdUMP로 전환되어 TS를 불활성화시킵니다.
TS 단백질의 발현은 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)에 대한 반응성과 관련이 있으며, 대장암, 위암, 두경부암, 유방암 등 다양한 암종에서 연구되고 있습니다.
