Target Information
Alpha Tubulin은 alpha와 beta tubulin 서브유닛으로 구성된 헤테로다이머의 일부입니다. 이들은 약 55 kDa의 분자량을 가지며, 미세소관(microtubule)의 기본 구성 단위로 작용합니다. 미세소관은 세포 내 구조적 지지 및 물질 수송 경로로서 기능하며, 유사분열 과정에서도 중요한 역할을 수행합니다.
Alpha와 beta tubulin은 대부분의 진핵세포에서 발견되며, gamma tubulin은 미세소관 형성의 핵화 과정에 관여합니다. Alpha tubulin을 암호화하는 유전자는 mouse 및 rat Tuba1 유전자와 높은 상동성을 가지며, 신경세포에서 주로 발현됩니다.
