Target Information
BIN1 유전자는 핵-세포질 어댑터 단백질의 여러 이소폼을 암호화하며, 초기에는 MYC와 상호작용하는 종양 억제 단백질로 확인되었습니다.
중추신경계에서 발현되는 이소폼은 시냅스 소포 내포(endocytosis)에 관여하며 dynamin, synaptojanin, endophilin, clathrin과 상호작용할 수 있습니다.
근육 및 광범위하게 발현되는 이소폼은 세포질과 핵에 위치하며 caspase 비의존적 세포사멸 과정을 활성화합니다.
마우스 연구에서는 이 유전자가 심근 발달에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났습니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 10개의 전사 변이체가 존재하며, 일부 종양 세포주에서는 비정상적인 스플라이스 변이가 보고되었습니다.
