Target Information
BRCA1 (breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility protein 1)은 핵 내 인산화 단백질로, 유전체 안정성을 유지하고 종양 억제 단백질, DNA 손상 감지 인자, 신호 전달 인자들과 함께 BASC(BRCA1 associated genome surveillance complex) 복합체를 형성하여 종양 억제 역할을 합니다.
BRCA1은 RNA polymerase II 및 histone deacetylase complex와 상호작용하여 전사 조절, 이중가닥 DNA 손상 복구, 재조합 과정에 관여합니다.
BRCA1 유전자의 돌연변이는 유전성 유방암의 약 40%, 유전성 유방·난소암의 80% 이상과 관련이 있습니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었으며, 일부는 질병 관련 돌연변이로 확인되었습니다.
