Target Information
TFG protein (TRK fused gene) is a human homolog of mouse TFG protein, containing an N-terminal coiled-coil domain, a SPYGQ-rich region, and octicosapeptide repeats.
Research indicates that TFG modulates SHP-1 activity and functions as a novel component of the NF-κB pathway. It associates with proteins such as TANK and NEMO.
TFG was first identified as a fusion partner of NTRK1, generating the thyroid TRK-T3 oncogene, and is also implicated in oncogenic rearrangements with ALK in anaplastic lymphoma and NOR1 in myxoid chondrosarcoma.
