Ras는 골지체와 세포막 사이를 이동하는 막 단백질을 암호화하는 N-ras 온코진입니다. 이 이동 과정은 ZDHHC9-GOLGA7 복합체에 의한 팔미토일화 및 탈팔미토일화에 의해 조절됩니다. 내재적 GTPase 활성을 가진 이 단백질은 구아닌 뉴클레오타이드 교환 인자에 의해 활성화되고 GTPase 활성화 단백질에 의해 비활성화됩니다. Ras 유전자의 돌연변이는 직장암, 여포성 갑상선암, 자가면역 림프증식 증후군, Noonan 증후군, 소아 골수단핵구 백혈병과 관련이 있습니다.
