Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
- Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Apolipoprotein D (APOD) is a component of high-density lipoprotein that has no marked similarity to other apolipoprotein sequences. It shows high homology to plasma retinol-binding protein and other members of the alpha-2 microglobulin protein superfamily (lipocalins). This glycoprotein is closely associated with lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase, an enzyme involved in lipoprotein metabolism.
