Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Apolipoprotein D (APOD) is a component of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) with no marked similarity to other apolipoprotein sequences. It shows high homology to plasma retinol-binding protein and other members of the alpha-2 microglobulin superfamily (lipocalins).
This glycoprotein is closely associated with lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase, an enzyme involved in lipoprotein metabolism.
