Target Information
Integrin-linked kinase (ILK) mediates transduction of extracellular matrix signals through integrins, influencing intracellular and extracellular functions. ILK interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of beta-1 integrin and acts as a serine/threonine protein kinase with four ankyrin-like repeats. It regulates integrin-mediated signal transduction and is encoded by multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants producing the same protein.
