• In Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat UNC5H2, recombinant human UNC5H3 and UNC5H4 is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).

Target Information

The UNC5H family of proteins act as transmembrane receptors for netrin-1 and play a crucial role in axon guidance and migration of neural cells. When cleaved by caspase to produce an intracellular fragment containing a death domain, UNC5H receptors induce apoptosis, which is blocked by netrin-1 binding.

In the absence of netrin-1, UNC5H receptors act as tumor suppressors by inhibiting anchorage-independent growth and invasion. Mutation or downregulation of these receptors is associated with various carcinomas, including colorectal, breast, ovary, uterus, stomach, lung, and kidney cancers.

UNC5H1 (UNC5HA) is a member of the UNC5H family localized to the cell membrane, with three isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
