Target Information
CD276, also known as B7-H3, is a member of the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules. It is a type I transmembrane protein that:
- Induces proliferation of CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells
- Enhances cytotoxic T cell generation
- Stimulates interferon gamma production
Expression can be induced on dendritic cells and monocytes by inflammatory cytokines and is found in peripheral tissues such as the heart, kidney, testis, and colon.
In humans, CD276 exists as two isoforms resulting from gene duplication and differential splicing.
CD276 is of therapeutic interest for regulating immune responses in cancer, especially in combination with anti-angiogenic therapy.
