Target Information

MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)은 대부분의 선상피 및 관상피 세포, 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포막 점액당단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 막관통형 글라이코프로틴으로, 다수의 O-결합 글라이칸이 결합된 점액 유사 세포외 도메인을 가지며, 다양한 프로테올리시스 및 당화 과정을 거쳐 성숙합니다.
MUC1은 고도로 다형성을 가지며, 각 대립유전자는 30~90 반복 단위를 포함하여 단백질 분자량이 다양합니다.
대부분의 분비성 상피세포와 유방암을 포함한 90% 이상의 상피암에서 과발현되며, EGFR(erbB1)을 포함한 cebB 수용체들과 상호작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손으로 구성되어 있으며, 다양한 스플라이싱 변형체를 생성합니다. 과발현, 비정상적인 세포 내 위치 변화, 당화 이상은 여러 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
