They mediate extracellular signals into intracellular responses through G protein activation. GPR proteins are typically seven-pass membrane proteins with conserved amino acid regions.
GPR152 (G protein-coupled receptor 152) is a 511 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. It is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 11q13.2 and mouse chromosome 19A, and may function as an orphan receptor.
