Target Information
The PSCD1 gene encodes a protein belonging to the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, which regulates various cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This receptor-type PTP has extracellular, transmembrane, and intracellular catalytic domains. In mouse, a similar gene is associated with MAP kinase regulation, while in rat, its expression is influenced by nerve growth factor, suggesting roles in neuronal growth and differentiation.
