EphA1는 단백질-티로신 키나제 계열 중 ephrin receptor 하위군에 속합니다. EPH 및 관련 수용체는 특히 신경계에서 발생 과정에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. EPH 하위군 수용체는 단일 키나제 도메인과 시스테인 풍부 영역, 두 개의 fibronectin type III 반복을 포함하는 세포 외 영역을 가집니다. Ephrin 수용체는 세포외 도메인 서열의 유사성과 ephrin-A, ephrin-B 리간드에 대한 결합 친화성에 따라 두 그룹으로 나뉩니다. EphA1은 일부 인간 암세포주에서 발현되며 발암 과정과 관련이 있습니다.
