The Thermo Scientific™ pCMV-Gaussia-Dura Luc vector is a derivative of pMCS-Gaussia-Dura Luc.
It contains a mutant form of the Gaussia luciferase gene, which provides improved bioluminescent signal stability compared to the native luciferase, under the control of the strong Cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter.
This constitutive expression vector can be used as a normalization control in combination with other reporters to account for experimental variation.

Description

Gaussia-Dura luciferase (~20 kDa) is a secreted protein allowing measurement of reporter activity in media (for real-time assays) or in cell lysates.
The parent pMCS vector contains an MCS for promoter cloning to study regulatory potential.
