Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates.

Target Information
Phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein 1 (PEBP1) binds ATP, opioids, and phosphatidylethanolamine, with lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine.
It acts as a serine protease inhibitor, inhibiting thrombin, neuropsin, and chymotrypsin, but not trypsin, tissue-type plasminogen activator, or elastase.
PEBP1 contains hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide (HCNP), which may play a role in presynaptic cholinergic neuron function in the central nervous system. HCNP increases the production of choline acetyltransferase but not acetylcholinesterase.
