Target Information
BAG6 gene is part of the human MHC class III region and encodes a nuclear protein involved in apoptosis regulation. It interacts with E1A binding protein p300 and is essential for p53 acetylation in response to DNA damage. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
