Product Specific Information
MA1-06319 detects cytokeratin 10 in human, canine, rat, porcine, zebrafish, and mouse samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blotting, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry.
The immunogen consists of cytokeratins derived from human epidermis.
Store at 4°C or -20°C if preferred.
Target Information
Cytokeratins (CK) are intermediate filaments of epithelial cells found in both keratinizing (e.g., skin) and non-keratinizing tissues (e.g., mesothelial cells).
Although not typical endothelial markers, some microvascular endothelial cells express cytokeratins.
At least 20 different cytokeratins ranging from 40–70 kDa with isoelectric points of 5–8.5 can be identified via two-dimensional gel electrophoresis.
Cytokeratins are classified into two groups: type I (acidic) and type II (basic) polypeptides, with at least one member of each expressed in all epithelial cells.
Monoclonal antibodies to cytokeratin proteins serve as useful markers for tumor identification and classification.
