Target Information

Zika virus (ZIKV), a member of the Flaviviridae family, possesses a single positive-sense RNA genome that is translated as a polyprotein and subsequently cleaved into structural (C, PrM/M, E) and nonstructural (NS1–NS5) proteins.
The glycosylated NS1 forms a homodimer within cells, essential for viral replication, and later assembles into a hexameric lipoprotein particle secreted extracellularly. This particle aids immune evasion and pathogenesis by interacting with both innate and adaptive immune components.
