Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Anti-Pyruvate Kinase Antibody is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Goat Serum, and purified Pyruvate Kinase [Rabbit Muscle].
Anti-Pyruvate Kinase reacts with all forms of pyruvate kinase (pan M-PK). Cross-reactivity with pyruvate kinase from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.

Target Information

PKM2 is a pyruvate kinase that catalyzes the production of phosphoenolpyruvate from pyruvate and ATP. PKM2 interacts with thyroid hormone and may mediate metabolic effects induced by thyroid hormones.
It binds Opa protein, a bacterial outer membrane protein involved in gonococcal adherence and invasion of human cells, suggesting a role in bacterial pathogenesis.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms of PKM2 have been reported.
