Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if product is not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only immediately before use.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Goat Serum, and purified or partially purified Protein A (Staphylococcus aureus). Cross-reactivity against Protein A from other sources is unknown.
Target Information
Protein A is an Orphan-U GPCR with an unknown ligand, identified from genomic analysis of a gene-dense region at human chromosome 12p13. It appears to be expressed mainly in the brain, but its function remains unclear. Three alternatively spliced variants have been described; the full length of the third variant is yet to be determined.
