For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

ZFP36 is a probable regulatory protein with a novel zinc finger structure involved in regulating responses to growth factors. Knockdown of ZFP36 increases cognate macrophage gene mRNAs and inflammatory tumor necrosis factor protein release, while overexpression decreases these gene levels, supporting its regulatory role in macrophage gene expression.
Multiple phosphorylation sites have been identified in mammalian cells, and ZFP36 can be phosphorylated by JNK and other MAP kinase family members.
Gene expression profiling links ZFP36 to clinical outcomes in prostate cancer, and inappropriate ZFP36 production may contribute to higher rheumatoid arthritis activity.
