Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The CTSL gene encodes a lysosomal cysteine proteinase involved in intracellular protein catabolism.
Its substrates include collagen, elastin, and alpha-1 protease inhibitor, regulating neutrophil elastase activity.
This protein is associated with pathological processes such as myofibril necrosis, myocardial ischemia, and renal tubular response to proteinuria.
Belonging to the peptidase C1 family, it forms a dimer of disulfide-linked heavy and light chains from a single precursor.
At least two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
