Target Information
IL-5는 B 세포와 호산구의 성장 및 분화 인자로 작용하는 사이토카인입니다.
이 사이토카인은 호산구 생성(eosinopoiesis), 성숙, 활성화의 주요 조절 인자이며, 과도한 IL-5 생성은 천식 및 과호산구 증후군과 연관되어 있습니다.
IL-5 수용체는 IL-3 및 GM-CSF 수용체와 β 서브유닛을 공유하는 이합체 구조를 가지며, IL-4, IL-13, CSF2와 함께 염색체 5q31의 사이토카인 유전자 클러스터 내에 위치합니다.
이들 유전자는 장거리 조절 요소에 의해 공동 조절됩니다.
