SNAP29 encodes a protein that is part of the SNAP25 gene family, involved in membrane trafficking processes. It binds multiple syntaxins and is mainly localized to intracellular membrane structures, with a fraction found in the cytoplasm. Multiple polyadenylation sites are known for this gene.
