Target Information
Cyclins are regulatory proteins essential for eukaryotic cell cycle control. Cyclin A accumulates before cyclin B and is involved in S phase regulation, associating with cyclin-dependent kinase-2 (Cdk2). It also interacts with E1A, DRTF1, E2F, and retinoblastoma protein (p110), playing roles in cell transformation. Cyclin A1, a second form, is highly expressed in germ cells and can associate with Cdk2, p39, and Cdc2 p34.
