• Tested in direct ELISA.
• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
  Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, then cooling for 20 min at RT.
• Western Blot: Use 1–2 µg/mL for 60 min at RT.

Target Information

CD47 (Integrin-Associated Protein, IAP) is a ubiquitously expressed transmembrane glycoprotein that interacts with integrins and regulates their functions. Its engagement modulates signaling pathways such as heterotrimeric G protein activation and intracellular calcium increase upon cell adhesion.
CD47 acts as a receptor for the C-terminal domain of thrombospondin and plays roles in membrane transport and signal transduction. It is broadly distributed across tissues, reduced on Rh erythrocytes, and serves as a ligand for CD172a (SIRPα), inhibiting macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of CD47-positive cells.
Additionally, the CD47–CD172a system influences cell migration, B cell adhesion, T cell activation, chondrocyte mechanotransduction, and neuronal development, particularly in synapse-rich brain and retinal regions.
