For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step.

Target Information

SOX9 plays a crucial role in sex determination and differentiation of Sertoli cells. It is involved in chondrogenesis and acts as a transcription factor regulating genes associated with cartilage formation.
Translocation of SOX9 can cause campomelic dysplasia. It contributes to testis formation from fetal gonads and is a key factor in neuron-glia differentiation in the spinal cord.
In prostate development, SOX9 supports epithelial growth and maintenance, but in prostate cancer, its function is altered to promote tumor growth and invasion.
SOX9 may influence neural crest precursor formation and regulates melanin production. Expression is observed in adult testis, adult heart, and fetal brain (via Northern blot analysis).
