Target Information
Arginase-1 (Arg1)은 L-아르기닌을 요소와 L-오르니틴으로 전환시키는 35 kDa 효소로, 요소 회로의 마지막 단계를 담당합니다. 생성된 폴리아민은 세포 증식과 단백질 분해로 인한 독성 제거에 중요합니다. Arginase 1은 NO synthase의 기질을 감소시켜 nitric oxide 생성을 억제합니다. 인간과 마우스 모두에서 간, 호중구, MDSC, 신경 줄기세포 등에 발현되며, 인간에서는 혈액 호중구에서 발현되지만 CCR3+ granulocytes에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 마우스에서는 대체적으로 활성화된 대식세포(M2a)의 특징적 마커입니다. 또한 Arginase 1은 종양 침윤성 골수세포에서 발현될 수 있으며, 대부분의 간세포암에서 발견됩니다. Arginase 1 결함은 고암모니아혈증을 특징으로 하는 상염색체 열성 질환인 argininemia의 원인입니다.
