Target Information
Mammalian apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease (APE/ref-1)는 다기능성 효소로, DNA의 abasic site 수복 및 산화 신호 조절, 전사 인자 조절(Fos, Jun, NF-kB, Myb, HIF-1α, CREB, Pax), 세포 주기(p53), 세포사(apoptosis) 조절에 관여합니다.
APE는 발달 단계 및 조직에 따라 다르게 발현되며, 핵 내 DNA 수복 외에도 다양한 세포 단백질과 상호작용합니다.
또한, casein kinase II에 의해 인산화 조절을 받으며, 저산소 상태에서 산소 재도입 시 APE 발현 증가가 관찰됩니다. 일부 악성 조직에서는 정상 조직보다 높은 APE 발현이 보고되었습니다. 반대로, APE 감소는 세포사 유도와 관련이 있습니다.
