Target Information
The betaIII-tubulin isoform is predominantly expressed in cells of neuronal origin and serves as an early marker of neuronal differentiation. It is a specific probe for neuronal cells and tumors derived from them. Although mainly found in neuronal tissues, betaIII-tubulin has also been observed in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
