Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
In humans, ZIM2 and PEG3 (GeneID: 5178) are two distinct genes sharing a common set of 5′ exons and promoter, both paternally expressed.
Alternative splicing connects shared exons with unique exons of ZIM2 or PEG3.
In contrast, mouse and cow ZIM2 and PEG3 genes do not share exons, and the imprinting status of ZIM2 is not conserved across mammals.
Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding the same protein have been identified for the human ZIM2 gene.
