Product Specific Information
- In Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Eotaxin is observed.
- Neutralizes biological activity of rhCX3CL1 and rmCX3CL1 with similar effectiveness.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Chemokines are a family of proteins associated with leukocyte trafficking during immune surveillance and inflammation. CX3CL1 is a CX3C chemokine that induces adhesion and migration of leukocytes via membrane-bound and soluble forms.
It can suppress production of nitrous oxide, interleukin-6, and TNF-α in activated microglia and neuronal cells, acting as an intrinsic inhibitor against neurotoxicity.
CX3CL1 receptor (CX3CR1) functions as a co-receptor for HIV-1 and HIV-2 envelope fusion and infection, which can be inhibited by CX3CL1.
