Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21). Anti-Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21) by sandwich ELISA, use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL antibody (100 µL/well). In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21) (500-P114) as capture antibody, this biotinylated polyclonal antibody detects at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21).

Western Blot:
For detection of mExodus-2 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with compatible secondary reagents, detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This gene is part of a CC cytokine gene cluster on the p-arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are characterized by two adjacent cysteines. Similar to other chemokines, this gene’s product inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis. It is chemotactic in vitro for thymocytes and activated T cells, but not for B cells, macrophages, or neutrophils. It may mediate lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs and is a high-affinity ligand for chemokine receptor 7 (CCR7), expressed on T and B lymphocytes.
