Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of A20/TNFAIP3 only when phosphorylated at Ser381.
Target Information
TNFAIP3 (A20) is located in chromosome band 6q23, a region often deleted in B cell lymphomas. It functions as a tumor suppressor gene in Hodgkin lymphoma and certain non-Hodgkin lymphomas. TNFAIP3 is a zinc-finger protein induced by TNF-α, inhibiting NF-κB-dependent gene expression and protecting cells from TNF-α cytotoxicity. Overexpression inhibits TLR2- and TLR4-mediated IL-8 synthesis, acting as a negative regulator of TLR-mediated inflammatory responses. At least two isoforms of TNFAIP3 are known.
