Target Information
CD14은 55 kDa GPI-결합 당단백질로, 성숙한 단핵구, 대식세포 및 호중구 표면에 지속적으로 발현됩니다.
CD14는 다기능성 LPS 수용체로 작용하며, 분비형 또는 효소 절단된 형태로 혈청에 존재할 수 있습니다.
Lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP)에 의해 촉매되는 반응에서 LPS 분자와 결합하며, sCD14는 LPS 구조적 차이를 구분하고 혈청 내 LPS를 중화하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 CD14는 세포사멸 세포에 결합할 수 있으며, 알레르기, 염증 및 감염 과정에 영향을 미칩니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 동일한 CD14 아이소폼을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이가 존재합니다.
CD14 기능 이상은 Mycobacterium chelonae 감염 및 Croup과 관련이 있습니다.
