Target Information
NK1.1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily B, member 1, KLRB1, NKR-P1A, CD161) is expressed on Natural Killer (NK) cells, which mediate cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion upon immune stimulation.
The KLRB1 protein belongs to the C-type lectin superfamily and contains:
- Extracellular domain with C-type lectin motifs
- Transmembrane domain
- Cytoplasmic domain
NKR-P1A (CD161), encoded by the KLRB1 gene, is a type II membrane protein with an external C terminus and recognizes Lectin Like Transcript-1 (LLT1) as its functional ligand.
