Target Information
NK1.1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily B, member 1, KLRB1, NKR-P1A, CD161) is expressed on Natural Killer (NK) cells, which mediate cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion upon immune stimulation.
KLRB1 belongs to the C-type lectin superfamily and contains extracellular motifs characteristic of C-type lectins, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain.
NKR-P1A (encoded by KLRB1) recognizes Lectin Like Transcript-1 (LLT1) as its functional ligand.
It is classified as a type II membrane protein with an external C terminus.
