Target Information

Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-κB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-κB p65, also known as RelA, belongs to the Rel protein family and forms heterodimers with p50 or p52 subunits of NF-κB. Upon TNF-α binding to its receptor, IKK is phosphorylated and subsequently phosphorylates IκB, leading to its proteasomal degradation. NF-κB p65 plays a key role in transcription of the immunoglobulin κ (kappa) gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
