Product Specific Information
Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20°C for higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
Sortilin functions as a sorting receptor in the Golgi compartment and as a clearance receptor on the cell surface. It is required for protein transport from the Golgi apparatus to lysosomes and endosomes via a pathway independent of the mannose-6-phosphate receptor (M6PR). Sortilin promotes neuronal apoptosis by mediating endocytosis of proBDNF and proNGFB precursor forms and also acts as a receptor for neurotensin.
