Product Specific Information
The 53-6.7 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD8a molecule, a 32–34 kDa cell surface receptor expressed as either a heterodimer (CD8αβ) or homodimer (CD8αα).
- Expression: Thymocytes, mature αβ T cells (CD8αβ), γδ T cells, intestinal IELs, dendritic cells (CD8αα)
- Function: CD8 binds to MHC class I and associates with protein tyrosine kinase p56lck, playing a role in T cell development and activation.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Mouse splenocytes, ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.
