Target Information
CHUK (IKK alpha) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in signal transduction and cellular communication. It is part of the cytokine-activated protein complex that inhibits the NF-kappa B complex.
IKK alpha, together with IKK beta and the regulatory protein NEMO (IKK gamma), phosphorylates IkB proteins, targeting them for ubiquitin-mediated degradation.
This kinase plays a key role in cellular processes such as inflammation and cell survival.
