Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
Galectin 3 is a galactose-specific lectin that binds IgE. It may mediate endothelial cell migration through interaction with alpha-3, beta-1 integrin and CSPG4. Together with DMBT1, it is required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis.
In the nucleus, Galectin 3 acts as a pre-mRNA splicing factor and participates in acute inflammatory responses, including neutrophil activation and adhesion, monocyte/macrophage chemoattraction, opsonization of apoptotic neutrophils, and mast cell activation.
