MA1-43028 detects Osteocalcin in human and bovine samples.
It has been successfully used in radioimmunoassays, western blot, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry applications.
Immunohistochemistry is calcium dependent.
MA1-43028 was derived from human bone osteocalcin.
Target Information
Osteocalcin belongs to the osteocalcin/matrix Gla-protein family and constitutes 1–2% of total bone protein.
It binds strongly to apatite and calcium. Gamma-carboxyglutamate residues are formed by vitamin K-dependent carboxylation, which are essential for calcium binding.
