Target Information
Hepatocyte nuclear factor 6 (HNF6) is a CUT homeobox family transcription factor containing both CUT and homeobox DNA-binding domains. It regulates genes involved in maturity-onset diabetes of the young and interacts with the FOXM1 transcription factor network. HNF6, together with HNF4, controls hepatic gene expression, and their expression levels influence the timing of g6pc gene expression during development.
